Hawaiian Rolls - The fluffy, slightly sweet rolls make these ham and cheese Hawaiian roll sliders more special.

Ham - Deli-sliced ham or leftover ham works perfectly for this recipe.

Swiss cheese - It melts beautifully, but you can also try provolone or cheddar.

Honey, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard - The secret sauce that adds sweet-tangy flavor to the sandwich.

Butter, poppy seeds, garlic powder, and onion flakes - gives the Hawaiian rolls extra flavor.

    Step-By-Step Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Set aside a baking dish and aluminum foil.

While keeping them connected, slice the rolls in half and place the bottom half into the baking dish.

    Serving Suggestions

These easy ham and cheese sliders are versatile enough to serve as an appetizer on game day or main course and can be paired beautifully with:

    • Soup, like creamy potato or tomato basil, for cozy comfort food vibes.
    • A fresh green salad for a balanced meal.
    • Fries, chips, or veggie sticks for a casual snack spread.

    Make Ahead

One of the best things about these simple ham and cheese sliders is that they are the perfect make ahead meal. You can assemble them fully, cover them tightly with aluminum foil, and refrigerate for up to 24 hours before baking. Add 5 to 10 minutes of baking time if you will bake straight from the fridge and always allow your ceramic baking dish to come up to room temperature before popping in the oven.

    Storage

Store the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. You can also wrap each one individually in foil, place it in a freezer bag, and store it in the freezer for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator and warm in the oven at 350°F until heated through or microwave if you are in a hurry.

    Ingredients

    • 1 12 count package Hawaiian Rolls
    • 6-8 slices swiss cheese
    • ¾ pound leftover ham or deli sliced ham
    • ¼ cup mayonnaise
    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
    • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
    • ½ teaspoon dried onion flakes
    • ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
    • ¼ teaspoon poppy seeds

    Instructions

    • Preheat oven to 350℉. Set aside a baking dish and aluminum foil.

    • Stir the onion flakes, poppy seeds and garlic into the melted butter. Brush the mixture over the tops of the Hawaiian rolls.
    • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes or just long enough for the cheese to be melty and the rolls golden brown.
    • Use a knife to cut the sandwiches apart and serve immediately.
