Ingredients

  • 1 12 count package Hawaiian Rolls
  • 6-8 slices swiss cheese
  • ¾ pound leftover ham or deli sliced ham
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon dried onion flakes
  • teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon poppy seeds

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350℉. Set aside a baking dish and aluminum foil.
  • Remove the Hawaiian rolls from package and while leaving the rolls connected, slice in half. Place the bottom half of the rolls in baking dish.
  • Add the first layer of cheese over the bottom half of the Hawaiian rolls.
  • Mix together the mayo, honey and mustard and spread over the cheese. (By spreading the mixture over the cheese it creates a barrier so the bread does not get soggy if making ahead).
  • Layer with ham slices, remaining cheese and the tops of Hawaiian rolls.
  • Stir the onion flakes, poppy seeds and garlic into the melted butter. Brush the mixture over the tops of the Hawaiian rolls.
  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes or just long enough for the cheese to be melty and the rolls golden brown.
  • Use a knife to cut the sandwiches apart and serve immediately.
