Equipment Needed
- Crockpot or slow cooker
- Cookie scoop or tablespoon
- Parchment paper or wax paper
- Airtight container
- Clean kitchen towel
Key Ingredients
Roasted peanuts - A source of the salty flavor contrasts the chocolate's sweetness.
Bittersweet chocolate chips - Any brand will do, but I suggest using good-quality chocolate chips, as they will add a decadent, rich chocolate flavor.
White chocolate chips - Use a good quality white chocolate chips as it balanced the hint of bitter flavor from the dark chocolate with sweetness and creaminess.
Creamy peanut butter - It elevates the nutty flavor and adds smooth texture.
Caramel bits - It adds chewiness and buttery caramel element.
(Optional) Toppings - Level up the holiday cheer by adding festive sprinkles or flaky sea salt for extra texture and flavor.

Step-By-Step Instructions
Add the peanuts and the two types of chocolate chips to the crockpot. Before putting the lid on, cover the top of the crockpot with a clean kitchen towel. Water from the crockpot's condensation can destroy the chocolate, so by covering the top with a kitchen towel, you can ensure that your candy is perfect.
Set the crockpot's time for 30 minutes and the heat level to low.
Check the chocolate after 30 minutes to see if it has melted. If so, add and stir in the peanut butter and caramel bits to the mixture. If the chocolates have not melted yet, place the towel and lid back on and stir every 15 minutes until both types of chocolate are melted.

Transfer the crockpot candy onto parchment or wax paper using a tablespoon or cookie scoop. Immediately sprinkle the flaky sea salt or sprinkles on top.
Rest the crockpot candy at room temperature until it hardens. This process may last one to two hours. Speed up the process by refrigerating the baking sheets with crockpot candies.

Expert Tips
- Use a kitchen towel before putting on the lid to prevent the water from condensation from dripping into the chocolate, which could make it seize.
- Check and stir the chocolate regularly or after the initial 30-minute melting time. If left for too long, it can burn.
- By stirring the caramel in after the chocolate is melted, the caramel will not melt, resulting in a chewy caramel texture.
- Transfer the chocolate to the cookie sheet or parchment paper and sprinkle the toppings quickly. It will begin to set as it cools down.
- Servings will depend on how large you make the clusters.

Christmas Crockpot Candy
Ingredients
- 1 16 ounce jar dry roasted peanuts
- 1 10 ounce bag bittersweet chocolate chips
- 1 11 ounce bag white chips
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter
- ½ cup caramel bits
Instructions
- Add peanuts, both types of chocolate chips to the crockpot. Cover the top of the crockpot with a clean kitchen towel BEFORE putting the lid on. Crockpots create condensation and water can cease chocolate so this will insure your candy is perfect.
- Set the crockpot to low heat and time for 30 minutes.

- The chocolate will take an hour or two to harden at room temperature. You can speed things up by placing the cookie sheets in the refrigerator. If you live in a humid area, you may want to store the candy in a airtight container in the refrigerator but it will stay fresh at room temperature for up to two weeks.
