Why You'll Love This Healthy Banana Split Recipe!

This banana split has the classic vibes with a nourishing and healthy twist. Creamy Greek yogurt replaces ice cream, fresh fruit adds natural sweetness, and just enough drizzled chocolate keeps it feeling like a treat.

If these are not enough, here are more reasons why you'll love it:

    • It can be ready in 5 minutes, and no cooking is required!
    • Packed with protein, fiber, and healthy fats.
    • Works as a healthy snack idea, a breakfast, or even a dessert.
    • Easy to customize with what you have in mind.
    • Kid-friendly and visually appealing.

    Equipment Needed

    • Cutting board
    • Sharp knife
    • Plate or shallow bowl
    • Small microwave-safe bowl
    • Spoon

    Key Ingredients

Banana - The base of this banana split healthy recipe. Naturally sweet and rich in potassium.

Plain Greek Yogurt - High in protein and creamy enough to replace the ice cream without the added sugar.

Honey - Adds a touch of natural sweetness.

Chia seeds - Boost fiber and omega-3s while adding light crunch.

Strawberries - Fresh, juicy, and full of vitamin C.

Peanuts - Provide protein, crunch, and healthy fats.

Mini chocolate chips - A small amount goes a long way for flavor.

Coconut oil - helps melt the chocolate smoothly for drizzling.

    Step-By-Step Instructions

Start by slicing the banana in half lengthwise and place it cut-side up on a plate.

Spoon the Greek yogurt evenly over the banana halves.

Drizzle honey over the yogurt, then sprinkle with chia seeds, sliced strawberries, chopped peanuts, and half of the mini chocolate chips.

Place the remaining chocolate chips and coconut oil in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each, until smooth and melted.

Drizzle the melted chocolate over the banana split and serve immediately.

    Serving Recommendations

    • Enjoy as a healthy breakfast banana split with a cup of tea or coffee.
    • Serve as a light healthy banana split dessert after dinner.
    • Make after a gym workout for a protein-packed snack.
    • Cut into smaller portions for a fun, shareable snack for the kids after school.

    Substitutions and Additions

    • Swap Greek yogurt for dairy-free yogurt if needed. Or try other flavors of yogurt.
    • Use almond butter or peanut butter instead of chopped peanuts.
    • Replace honey with maple syrup.
    • Add blueberries, raspberries, or granola for extra texture.
    • Skip the chocolate for a lower-sugar banana split for a healthy breakfast.
