    • Apple slicer or knife
    • Cutting board
    • Microwave safe bowl
    • Spoon for drizzling
    • Large plate or serving platter

    Key Ingredients

Apples - The main event of this dish. Sweet-tart crisp apples like Granny Smith, Fuji, or Honeycrisp work beautifully.

Mini chocolate chips - For added texture, try sprinkling in mini chocolate chips and drizzling with melted chocolate chips.

Caramel bits - Melted into smooth, buttery goodness. They also add a cozy and classic fall flavor, making these caramel apple nachos irresistible and addictively tasty. You could also use caramel sauce or caramel apple dip.

Chopped peanuts or pecans - The nutty crunch will balance the sweetness perfectly.

    Step-By-Step Instructions

Start by washing the apple, removing the core, and slicing your apples thinly into wedges.

Arrange the apple wedges neatly on a large platter or plate.

Sliced apples on the chopping board with the knife used and sliced apples transferred to a white plate

Using a microwave-safe bowl, combine the caramel bits with a splash of water. Heat in 15-second intervals, stir until smooth. Drizzle the apples generously.

Melt ¼ cup of mini chocolate chips in 15-second microwave intervals, stirring until smooth. Drizzle over the caramel-covered apples.

Sprinkle the nachos with the remaining chocolate chips and chopped nuts.

Just like that, you have easy apple nachos you can enjoy.

    Make Ahead

If you are aiming to maximize time, you can slice the apples ahead and toss them with a drizzle of lemon juice to prevent them from browning. Keep the toppings separately and assemble them only when you are ready to serve. However, these caramel apple nachos are best served right away because that's when the apples are at their crunchiest, the caramel is perfectly gooey, and the chocolate drizzle is irresistibly smooth.

    Expert Tips

    • To achieve even wedges, use an apple slicer. It will also help to slice them quickly.
    • Add a drizzle of white chocolate and peanut butter for extra indulgence.
    • If you prefer a nut-free option, swap the nuts with granola.
    • For a nutritious twist, add a sprinkle of chia seeds and use dark chocolate chips.
