    • Make-Ahead- Great for meal prep or feeding a family.

    Equipment Needed

    • 9x13 casserole dish
    • Large pot for boiling noodles
    • Large mixing bowl
    • Wooden spoon or spatula
    • Foil
    • Non-stick spray

    Key Ingredients

Egg noodles - The classic base of this easy ham with noodle casserole. Soft and tender noodles with just the right bite!

Cooked ham - use leftover ham for your holiday meal or use a ham steak. These are usually fully cooked already, but check the packaging to make sure.

Cream of mushroom soup & cheese soup - This combination creates a creamy sauce that coats every noodle.

Cheddar cheese - Melted throughout and on top for that gooey, irresistible finish.

Garlic and onion powder - A simple seasoning blend that enhances the dish's overall flavor.

Fresh parsley - Optional, but adds a bright pop of color and freshness.

Peas- add a pop of color and a fresh and slightly sweet flavor that balances the richness of the casserole. You can switch it up and use broccoli florets, green beans or any other veggies you prefer.

    Step-By-Step Instructions

Start by preheating the oven to 375°F and spray a 9x13 casserole dish with non-stick spray.

While the oven preheats, boil the egg noodles according to the package directions. Make sure to cook them for the minimum time so they stay firm after baking.

In a large bowl, combine the cheese soup, cream of mushroom soup, cooked ham, onion powder, garlic powder, and pepper. Stir in the drained noodles and one cup of cheddar cheese.

Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Top with the remaining cheese.

Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling.

Garnish with parsley, and enjoy this leftover ham & noodle casserole while it's warm and melty.

    Make-Ahead

You can prepare this casserole dish a day ahead: assemble it, cover tightly with foil, and refrigerate. Once you are ready to serve the dish, bake as directed. Add a few extra minutes if it's coming straight from the fridge.

    Serving Recommendation

    • Pair this ham and noodle casserole with roasted vegetables or a light green salad to balance its creamy, rich flavors.
    • Dinner rolls or garlic bread also make an excellent side for soaking up every bit of the sauce.

    Storage

If there are any leftovers, store them in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave until warmed through. This dish also freezes beautifully, making it perfect for planning for busy nights.
