Equipment Needed

- Chopping board and sharp knife
- Measuring spoons and cups
- Serving bowl or bread bowl (crusty bread)
Key Ingredients
Spinach - You can use fresh or frozen spinach. Make sure to squeeze out as much water as possible to keep the dip creamy and not watery.
Sour cream - Adds a smooth and tangy base.
Mayonnaise - It gives body and richness to the dip.
Knorr's vegetable recipe mix - The key ingredient that transforms this into the famous Knorr's vegetable spinach dip recipe everyone loves.
Water chestnuts - Add the perfect crunch in every bite.
Green onions & chives - Bring mild onion flavor and freshness.
Hot sauce - It is optional, but a few drops add a gentle kick that balances its richness.
bread bowl- this is a great way to serve the dip. Most grocery store bakeries have sourdough or whole wheat round bread loafs. When you remove the top you can cut or rip the bread for extra dippers too!

Step-By-Step Instructions
Whether using fresh or frozen spinach, place it in a microwave-safe bowl. For frozen spinach, microwave on high for about 5 minutes until thawed and hot. For fresh spinach, rinse well, remove any tough stems, and microwave on high for 2–3 minutes, stirring halfway through, until wilted. After microwaving, be sure to drain any excess liquid thoroughly before adding the spinach to your dip to keep it creamy and not watery.
In a large mixing bowl add all of the dip ingredients, leaving a tablespoon of chives for garnish. Stir in everything with a spatula or wooden spoon until fully incorporated.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Chilling will allow the flavors to develop and meld perfectly.

When ready to serve, cut the top of a round bread loaf to make a bowl. Fill the bowl with the chilled spinach dip and place on a platter to serve with the dippers arranged around the dip.

Make Ahead
This copycat Knorr spinach dip is an excellent make-ahead recipe because it tastes better when made in advance. Prepare it up to 24 hours ahead and chill it in the fridge until you are ready to serve. Make sure to give it a stir before transferring it to a bread bowl or serving bowl. To keep the bread from becoming soggy it is best to transfer the dip to the bread bowl right before serving.

Storage
Store the leftover Knorr's vegetable spinach dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Stir well before serving. This dip is not freezer-friendly because freezing can alter its creamy texture.
