Ingredients

Knorr's Spinach Dip

  • 1 10 ounces frozen or fresh spinach, cooked and water squeezed out
  • 1 16 ounce container sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 5 ounce can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 1 1.4 ounce package Knorr's Vegetable Recipe Mix
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chives, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons hot sauce
  • 1 sourdough or whole wheat round loaf, optional

Dippers

  • the top of the bread cut into cubes
  • carrot sticks
  • celery sticks
  • cucumber slices
  • grape tomatoes
  • crackers or chips

Instructions

  • Whether using fresh or frozen spinach, place it in a microwave-safe bowl. For frozen spinach, microwave on high for about 5 minutes until thawed and hot. For fresh spinach, rinse well, remove any tough stems, and microwave on high for 2–3 minutes, stirring halfway through, until wilted. After microwaving, be sure to drain any excess liquid thoroughly before adding the spinach to your dip to keep it from becoming watery.
  • In a large mixing bowl add all of the dip ingredients. Mix until everything is thoroughly incorporated.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • Serve chilled in a bread bowl or a serving bowl with your favorite dippers.
