Why You’ll Love This Easy Homemade Cesar Salad Dressing!

I love salads and they are some of my favorite go-to dinners during the week and in the summer months. But let's be honest, a decent salad is so much more than what you put in it, and has everything to do with the dressing. Am I right? Without a decent salad dressing the salad is just a bit, meh! I love making my own dressing and this Easy Homemade Caesar Salad Dressing is one of my very best.

I use simple ingredients, most of which you probably have in your refrigerator or pantry, and they come together to make a creamy and flavorful dressing. You can use this Caesar dressing in any or your favorite salads. It is also super tasty in wraps, or even as a dip for chicken wings or a veggie dip. You have to give this easy homemade salad dressing a try.

    • Super easy to make - No need to rush out to the store to buy a dressing, you can whip up a delicious salad dressing in no time at all.
    • Simple ingredients - You only need a handful of ingredients, most of which you probably have in your home, and create a tasty dressing.
    • Versatile- Add it to a salad or use it as a dip for things like chicken wings or a veggie dip. The options are endless!

    Equipment Needed

    • bowl
    • knife
    • whisk

    Key Ingredients

parmesan- freshly grated parmesan is a must. Try and buy a high quality parmesan if you can. Choose your preferred brand.

anchovy paste- you only need a little anchovy paste but the good news is it will keep in the fridge for a long time so you can make the recipe on a weekly rotation!

mayonnaise - The main element to help you create the dressing. Mayonnaise is perfect for this.

garlic - The familiar flavor of a Caesar dressing is garlic, and fresh garlic is a must for this recipe.

lemon - this is what will cut through all of the flavors of this dressing and balance everything out. Giving that fresh citrus twist.

mustard - I love using mustard in my dressings and it works well with this recipe. I used stone ground which adds a nice texture.

salt and pepper - seasoning is a must for this dressing.

Worcestershire sauce -The flavor works so well with all of the other ingredients and gives that tanginess we all know and love.

    Serving Suggestions

    • Typically this salad dressing is served with a Caesar salad. I have a recipe for a delicious Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad as well. However, it will work with most salads and ingredients. It is a versatile and tasty dressing.
    • Use as a dip. Ideal for chicken wings, a sandwich spread, or a veggie dip. It has a garlic-flavor so it will work with most dishes or salads.

    Substitutions And Additions

    • If you can't use fresh lemon then you could use lemon juice from a bottle instead.
    • Add some lemon zest to give that extra burst of freshness.
    • Use whichever mayonnaise you like. You could even use a lite version if you wish.
    • Try and use the most high quality of parmesan you can to get that authentic flavor. If you do have a preferred brand then give it a try.
    • Fresh garlic is best, but you could always add garlic granules or some garlic puree instead.
    • Add some fresh herbs to give an extra flavor. Thyme or parsley would be a great addition.
