- Layers beautifully like classic lasagna, but takes half the time to prepare!
- Customizable with different ravioli flavors or proteins.
- Freezer-friendly for meal prep and reheats beautifully.
Equipment Needed
- 9x13 casserole dish
- Skillet
- Mixing bowl
- Spoon or spatula
- Aluminum foil
- Cooking spray
Key Ingredients
Cheese ravioli - The star of this dish! Any refrigerated cheese or spinach blend works for this lasagna ravioli recipe. If you use frozen lasagna you will need to adjust the cook time by about 10-15 minutes.
Marinara sauce - Choose your favorite jarred sauce for quick ravioli lasagna. I like a sauce with garlic and basil to add lots of flavor!
Ground beef - Adds depth and heartiness to this baked ravioli lasagna. You can always make this with ground turkey or chicken for a little lighter dish.
Parmesan, mozzarella, and ricotta - The essential cheesy trio for that classic lasagna with ravioli flavor.
Egg- binds together the cheese mixture.
Italian seasoning- gives a little extra flavor to the cheese mixture.

Step-By-Step Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Spray a 9x13 casserole dish with cooking spray.
Brown the ground beef in a skillet, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
Stir the marinara sauce into the beef, reserving ¾ cup for layering. Let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes.
Spread the reserved marinara across the bottom of your casserole dish. Add half the ravioli in an even layer.

In a bowl, mix ricotta, parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, and pepper.
Layer half of the meat sauce over the ravioli, then the entire ricotta mixture. Smooth with a spoon. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella on top.

Add the remaining ravioli and the rest of the meat sauce, then finish with the remaining mozzarella.
Cover tightly with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for 10 minutes more until bubbly and lightly browned.
Serve hot with extra parmesan and parsley.

Serving Suggestions
- Pair this easy ravioli lasagna bake with a classic garlic bread or a crisp green salad.
- Add roasted vegetables as sides to complete the meal.
- Serve as part of a cozy family dinner, potluck, or casual weekend gathering.
- Pair with a glass of wine on a date night at home.

Make Ahead
This lasagna ravioli recipe is an excellent make-ahead idea. Assemble it completely, cover tightly, and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Add 5 to 10 minutes to the baking time if baking straight from the refrigerator. Always let your casserole dish come closer to room temperature before baking—putting a cold dish straight into a hot oven can cause it to crack.

Storage
Store in an airtight container and place inside the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To freeze, wrap the baked ravioli lasagna tightly and freeze it up to 3 months. Thaw overnight before reheating. For reheating, warm in the oven at 350°F or microwave individual servings.

Lazy Ravioli Lasagna
Ingredients
- 1 24 ounce jar marinara sauce, divided
- 1 pound lean ground beef, cooked and drained of fat
- 30 ounces packaged cheese ravioli *see notes
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ⅓ cup grated parmesan cheese plus more for garnish
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 1 8 ounce package mozzarella cheese
- parsley, optional garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 9x13 inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet while breaking up the meat with a spoon. Drain off any fat.
- Add the marinara to the ground beef reserving ¾ of a cup of the sauce. Simmer the sauce and ground beef on low for 5 minutes while prepping the remaining ingredients.
- Meanwhile, add the reserved marinara to the casserole dish. Layer with half of the ravioli. Try to make an even layer. It’s okay if they overlap slightly.
- In a small bowl combine the ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper. Stir the mixture together with a spoon.
- Add half of the beef and marinara sauce as a layer over the ravioli. Next add a layer of ricotta using all of the mixture. Use a spoon to smooth the ricotta cheese and cover the sauce. Top with a sprinkle of half of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers with the remaining ravioli, the ground beef and sauce mixture and top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Cover the casserole dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake in the oven for 30 minutes, remove the foil and bake an additional 10 minutes for the cheese to brown and bubble. Serve immediately with parsley and additional parmesan cheese.
