Turkey Hummus Wraps are not only a quick lunch option, they are delicious and healthy too! They are perfect to take to work or pack in your kids lunch. The combination of flavors are endless with this flexible lunch idea!
I’ve made it a habit years ago to bring my lunch to work. Not only does it help me save money but it gives me the ability to make healthy options. I'm always looking for different lite lunch choices, which is why I love my Turkey Hummus Wrap recipe. It is so easy but a little different from a standard sandwich. Plus by swapping mayo for hummus it saves calories without sacrificing any flavor!
Ingredients needed to make a Turkey Hummus Wrap
- wrap
- hummus- pick your favorite flavor
- turkey
- tomato
- cucumber
- red pepper
- avocado
- lettuce
This is just a basic idea of the veggies you can add to your wrap. It is such a flexible recipe, allowing you to build the wrap with what you have on hand or the vegetables that are in season.
Also you can pick any flavor of hummus. I love the roasted red pepper, but there are so many options that would work well.
How to build a turkey and hummus wrap
Building a wrap is really easy, but if you have never made one I’ll give you a few pointers. First, start with a larger tortilla wrap. This way you have plenty of room for the ingredients and are still able to wrap it all up. Next, add hummus just in the center of the wrap. Add the veggies by layering in the center. I always slice my vegetables in thin slices. Then top with turkey.
Now it’s time to roll the wrap. This is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Fold in the ends of the wrap and gently but tightly roll the wrap to secure all the ingredients. Slice in half or even pinwheels if adding to your kids lunch.
Are wraps healthy?
If you are looking for a healthy lunch, a turkey with hummus wrap is an excellent choice. Keep in mind the ingredients that can sabotage your wrap is loads of mayo, cheese or high calorie salad dressings. Using hummus in place of those options can make a huge difference without sacrificing flavor. There are also many different healthful options in wraps, like low carb or whole wheat.
How long do turkey wraps last?
Depending on your veggie choices your wraps will hold up fine in the refrigerator for a couple of days. I usually make mine the night before work and I have no issues with the hummus making my wrap soggy. Now of course avocado will get a little brown so if that bothers you just skip the avocado!

I am addicted to wraps! I have one several times a week for lunch. I love the addition of hummus in these, rather than fatty mayo or sauces. Definitely will try it with the dill pickle hummus we have in the fridge.
