We love sweet treats for summer get-together and this Chessmen Cookie Banana Pudding recipe is highly requested for potlucks and cookouts. My all time favorite are these rich chocolatey Magic Bars that come together in just minutes. These recipes are great for a large group too!

Why You'll Love This S'mores Skillet
S'mores Skillet is not your typical dip; it is a game changer, and I could consider it next-level comfort food. Here are the reasons why I love it.
- No campfire? No problem! I love s'mores skillets because I can enjoy them indoors, all year round!
- It's super quick and easy! I love it because it does not require much time—13 minutes is enough to make this fantastic dip.
- The crowd's favorite! S'mores are perfect for sleepovers, potlucks, game day snacks, or any time you want to add a creative twist to your dessert.
- Customizable dippers! You can always pair it with classic graham crackers, salty treats like pretzels, or your favorite fresh fruit—strawberries!
- Fewer ingredients! With only a few ingredients melting in one cast iron, you've got to enjoy this sweet treat!

Equipment Needed
- 6 to 8 inch cast iron (or any oven-safe baking dish)
- Oven
- Broiler (options, to achieve a marshmallows' golden top)
- Knife (optional, if you are going to cut the marshmallows in half)
Key Ingredients
For the Dip
Chocolate—Use a high-quality chocolate for rich, decadent flavor and smooth melting. I love Lindt Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt. (I keep this on hand and have a square every night for a little treat!) Avoid using chocolate chips, as they don't melt evenly because they are formulated to hold their shape.
Large-sized marshmallows- You may cut them in half to layer them evenly and get that perfect toast.
For Dipping
Graham crackers - To enjoy the classic s'mores feeling.
Strawberries - Fresh strawberries are perfect with chocolates.
Pretzels - the s'mores skillet sweetness will balance the savory flavor of pretzels!

Step-By-Step Instructions
Start by preheating the oven to 350°F or 175 °C. Cut the chocolate bar into squares and layer them in your cast iron.
Cut the marshmallows in half and place them on top of the chocolates, placing the cut side down for even toasting.
Bake it in the preheated oven for 7 minutes until the marshmallows start to puff and the chocolate melts.
After 7 minutes, switch the oven to broil and toast the marshmallows for 1-2 minutes. Watch closely! Do not walk away from the oven because the marshmallows can easily burn.

Expert Tips
- Use high-quality chocolate for the best results. Chocolate chips do not melt well and are designed not to melt, and we tested this recipe both ways.
- Cutting the marshmallows in half helps them sit flat and toast evenly.
- Keep an eye on the broiler and set a timer if necessary. One minute is often enough to toast the marshmallow beautifully.
- You may use a kitchen torch to toast the marshmallows instead of switching the oven to broil.
- Add drizzled peanut butter, chocolate, caramel syrup, or flaky sea salt for a flavor twist!

Serving Suggestions
S'mores skillet dip is best served when hot and fresh with different dippers such as graham crackers, strawberries, sliced bananas, pretzels, Biscoff, cookies like shortbread, or go classic with chocolate chip cookies.

Storage
If you happen to have any leftovers, you may store it in an airtight container inside the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven at 300 until warm and melty for 5 to 7 minutes before serving. Avoid microwaving because it will make the marshmallows rubbery.
