During the summer when peaches are ripe I love making fresh peach salsa.  It's slightly sweet with just a little heat from minced jalapeños.  Made with just a few simple ingredients this delicious peach jalapeño salsa is a great summer appetizer.

I love making homemade salsa recipes because there are so many different flavors you can experiment with.  Salsas are the perfect way to use that abundance of summer fruit and vegetables.  Fruit salsas can be paired with chicken, fish or shrimp.  Or you can make this peach salsa for an appetizer to take to a summer cook-out or picnic.

    How to Make Peach Salsa

I keep the ingredients of my peach salsa recipe very minimal and just focus on the great flavor of the ripe peaches!

    Here’s what you’ll need:

    • peaches
    • jalapeño
    • red onion
    • cilantro
    • lime juice
    • apple cider vinegar

That’s all you need!  Just 6 ingredients to make this delicious fresh peach salsa.  Of course you can add more or less jalapeños depending on the spice level you prefer.

Chopped peaches, jalapeño,red onion, cilantro and a juiced lime for peach jalapeño salsa

Start with washing your fruits and veggies well.  Then chop everything in small bite size pieces.  Always remember if your using this as an appetizer with chips you want pieces that are easy to scoop with your chips.

I recommend getting a good pairing knife to make the peeling of the peaches and chopping of the fruit and vegetables easier.  Once everything is chopped place it in a bowl or mason jar to store.  Because this does not have preservatives it will last in the fridge for 2-3 days.

    How to serve peach salsa

I love my peach jalapeño salsa recipe because it is so versatile.  This recipe works perfectly on grilled chicken, baked fish, salmon or even shrimp tacos.  I love using this in the summer because it’s a delicious fresh and healthy way to jazz up a recipe without any heavy sauces.  Or if you want to eat as an appetizer with homemade lime tortilla chips!
