Comment Review: Omg. In my European trip alone, I have gone to Florence, Millan, Venice & Rome and I have to say this is the BEST food I have ate in ALL of Italy. The food is delicious. My family and I ate there and decided to order 3 different types of pasta (When in Rome, am I right?) & all 3 had so much flavor, came out piping hot, were homemade and most importantly, all the pasta was made from SCRATCH. And you could taste exactly that.
I'm unsure of the names of dishes we had but I'll try my best to describe them. The pasta I ordered (which was the BEST in my opinion, but the other 2 were AMAZING as well) was the Potato Gnocchi with smoked salmon. I recommend this dish to anyone that goes. The presentation was also A+ as well.
I'll post a picture of one of the other pastas we ate and the other one, well I have no clue what it was named but according to the waitress, it is their most popular pasta dish and it also is the first one on the menu.
At the end, we were stuffed but decided on getting a dessert. HOLY SMOKES. This thing was HEAVENLY. I'm unsure what it was called again, but the waitress described at as their spin on cheesecake with biscotti and warm caramel. It's not in the form of the American cheesecake we eat back home. It's served in a cup, parfait style. UGHHHHHHH AMAZING. You HAVE to try this if they have it, TRUST ME on this.
Next time I come to Italy, I plan to come back and have dinner here once again!

II Bocconcino

Comment Review: Seriously, the BEST meal we had in Rome. I only wish we could've gone back the next day, because we would've been there!
Great service and wine recommendations. We started off with some apps that were fried but in the best way. Fried meatballs and this mozzarella rice stick thingie, omg to die for. We weren't too hungry so we shared an entree to get actually be able to try desserts. We had a guinea fowl ravioli in a wine sauce that was incredible. I wanted that dish to last forever. Until dessert arrived. A panna cotta that was out of this world and this magical roasted pear crumble with a creamed ricotta. Yeas. Smooth perfectly creamed ricotta.
We stayed a bit longer and finished our wine only wishing we had found this restaurant a day or two sooner in our trip.

Osteria Da Fortunata

How about a memorable dining experience in the heart of Rome? Osteria Da Fortunata is an excellent place for that unforgettable experience. They are famous for their fettuccine and carbonara, where you can watch how they hand-rolled fresh pasta. The place will give you a portion of Italian comfort food.
Comment Review: When in Rome, eat all the carbs and sweet treats. Osteria Da Fortunata was one of my favorite meals during our stay and I would go here again. We waited in line for an hour and got seated inside, they do have outdoor seating. While waiting, when you pass their window they have someone making the pasta noodles which is fun to watch.
I ordered the Fettuccine Al Ragu, my partner got the Fettuccine Sugo "Alla Vaccinara and Tiramisu to share. I really enjoyed my dish, the noddles were al dente and sauce was delicious. My partner and I left no crumbs, the staff lady took our plates and smiled at us knowing we enjoyed our meal. The tiramisu was also real tasty!

Comment Review: I was stayin in Rome for a night after getting off a cruise. I met up with some friends and we asked the guy at the front desk of our hotel for a restaurant recommendation. He pointed us in this direction and we knew we were there when we saw the line of people waiting to get into the restuarant.
I loved it because it was a mix of tourists and locals. You had to wait in line outside while a table became available which was actually kind of nice because they have a waiter come by and take drink orders. We went with a glass of pinot noir and it was great. We waited about 15 mins and we were able to get a table inside. The inside is a little small but absolutely perfect, we made friends with the two tables that sat near us. Great place to make a friend.
Once inside we looked at the menu and we went with a few things: Bread for the table, the squash filled with cheese, the meatballs, and two pasta dishes. My friend got the one with the meat and I got the one with the pepper. Every dish was better than the last. The squash came out first with the bread and then came the meatballs. I loved them the sauce was amazing with the bread. Lastly came the pasta dishes. Mine was soooo good but it was huge after eating the meatballs I was already full. Then at the end we felt like we had to get the Tiramisu because.. when it italy you just do. It was by far the best tiramisu I have had in my life! I need to go back to this spot.

Comment Review: This is by far my favorite place to take ANYONE who comes to Rome. It never misses. Get the focaccia!! The pasta is hand made daily and the service is truly some of the best I've had while being here. Every location is such a great vibe with the choice of sitting inside or outside. The most recent time I've gone to Tonnarello we went to the one near the Vatican and Francesco took amazing care of us, the manager here Jolanta is also great. Everywhere we go the staff are all super hard workers and the food is relatively quick. It's some of my favorite food in Italy topped with incredible service. Couldn't recommend a better place for a great Roman food experience.

Comment Review: I did not realize this was listed as a pizza restaurant. Our meal was fantastic!!! This is definitely the best and most amazing place to eat in Rome. OMG, everything was great. The freshness and purity taste were unmatched. One person in our party ordered 2 meals. This is how great it was. Unfortunately, we found this place the very last day of the trip. Glad we did!
The atmosphere was great. The waiter was comical, friendly and help with suggesting wines, food menu item and other. We even struck up a conversation with the table next to us. They were from the states as well. Fortunately for them, they had discovered this place days prior and it was their 3rd time dining. If I could give it 10 stars, I would.
Luckily, we were able to be seated as we did not have reservations. What a wonderful and memorable all-around experience. If ever in Rome, make reservations to ensure you visit this place.

Comment Review: Did a lunch walkable and sat outside. The waiters and servers were super nice and cared. Monday a lot of restaurants are closed so this was prime spot to be. Lots of walk-ups. English music with fun cover songs played. Had delicious cappuccinos with fun hearts and the food, the food! Wow wow wow
Lasagna, truffle cream, porcini mushroom, mozzarella and fresh truffle. The fettuccini with porcini mushroom, truffles and truffle cream. Both were so good and so reasonably priced. We had such a fantastic meal we will be back tomorrow night. 10/10 recommend.
Went back for a second night and got the aperol which was 8 euros and the spaghetti carbonara that's a must try! The Buffalo mozzarella and prosciutto lived up to the hype.

Cantina dei Papi

Have a when in Rome kind of experience by locating Cantina dei Papi, a hidden gem in Rome where you can enjoy authentic flavors of Italian sandwiches, charcuterie board, and excellent flavors of wine.
Comment Review: Excellent.
Not exactly like all the super authentic spots we experienced, the ones that maybe were not tourist spots. But, absolutely amazing!
The space was clean, unique and inviting. The servers were spectacular. Much wine knowledge and able to explain dishes I was interested in eating before I left Rome.
We ordered wine for ourselves from their extensive wine selection. We then had their amazing focaccia--yummmm!!!
I went ahead and got the Carbonara and my partner got yet another meat board ;). (Seems this is all Italy has to offer for him).
The food was simply delightful. The atmosphere was enchanting. I even forced myself to have a second glass of wine. #whynot
We loved this place, the food, the people. Highly suggest.

Sapori e Delizie

Are you a pizza lover? When you visit Rome, make sure to try Sapori e Delizie's pizza. Sapori e Delizie is nestled in the Monti neighborhood. It is a great place to chill and relax after sightseeing or if you just want to admire Italian cuisine.
Comment Review: The Piedmontese and Diavola pizzas are outstanding. Neapolitan type crust. Piedmontese a little heavy on the gorgonzola. Diavola picante salame is rich and "rustic" in flavor with a decent spicy punch. Service friendly. They have A/C. Outdoor seating pleasant as it is on a relatively quiet street
