Equipment Needed
- Mixing bowls
- Large skillet
- Spatula or whisk
- Microwave-safe bowl
- Dessert glasses or serving cups
- Spoon for layering
Key Ingredients
Strawberries - Juicy and fresh, the perfect fruit base for this dessert recipe.
Sugar - Helps bring out the natural sweetness of strawberries.
Kataifi - Shredded phyllo dough is toasted into a perfectly golden crunch. I could not find this at my local grocery store but bought it online.
Pistachio cream - A blend of ground pistachios and sugar.
Heavy cream - The base for achieving a smooth chocolate ganache.
Chocolate chips - For the luscious, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate layer.

Step-By-Step Instructions
Start by washing the strawberries and slicing them into quarters. Toss them in sugar and set them aside to macerate.
Melt the butter in a skillet, add the kataifi, and stir until perfectly gold in color. Mix in the pistachio cream to coat evenly.
Warm the heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl (do not boil). Stir in chocolate chips until smooth and silky.

In each cup or glass, layer strawberries, chocolate ganache, and kataifi/pistachio mixture. Repeat until the cup is full.
Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of chopped pistachios for the final touch.

Make Ahead
You can prepare the chocolate ganache and kataifi mixture up to a day in advance. Assemble it before serving to maintain the crunch of the kataifi.

Storage
Store the leftover components separately in airtight containers:
- Strawberries can be refrigerated up to one day after sugaring.
- Chocolate ganache can be refrigerated up to 3 days. Reheat gently before layering.
- Keep the kataifi in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days to maintain the crunch.
However, it is best to consume the strawberry Dubai cup immediately after assembly to experience the best texture.
