Assemble The Jars
Add the ingredients to a 32 ounce wide mouth mason jar to create layers. Use a funnel or make one with parchment paper or a folded paper plate. After adding each layer it is important to pack the ingredients tightly with a muddler or the back of a spoon.
The first layer flour, baking soda and salt to the jar. The next layer is brown sugar followed by the granulated sugar.
Next add the oats and tap down tightly. Sprinkle the spices cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger on the top of the oats.
Add the dried cranberries and the white chocolate chips for the final two layers.
Seal tightly with the mason jar lid and decorate with a ribbon, bow or fabric and attach the Free Printable Recipe Card.
To Bake The Cookies
Preheat oven to 350℉ and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Add room temperature butter to a bowl and beat until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract and mix well. Chill dough for at least 30 minutes or for several hours.
Add in all of the ingredients from the cookie mix in a jar and mix to combine.
Use a cookie scoop (I used #40 or about 1.5 tablespoons) to portion out the cookie dough onto a parchment lined cookie sheet spaced about 2 inches apart.
Bake in preheated oven for 11 minutes. Cool cookies on the cookie sheet for 2 minutes before moving to a wire rack. The cookies will look underdone but will firm up on the cookie sheet as they cool.
Store the cookies in an airtight container for 5 days at room temperature or up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
