Feta Spinach Chicken Burgers with Greek Yogurt Sauce

Delicious burgers do not always have to be made with ground beef! These chicken feta burgers have an amazing flavor and make your weeknight dinner plans a breeze! This easy dinner can be made in just 20 minutes for a healthy meal the entire family will love!

Equipment

  • grill pan or out door grill

Ingredients

Chicken Burger

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 cup spinach leaves, loosely packed and chopped
  • cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon garlic powder
  • teaspoon pepper

Lemon Dill Sauce

  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon dill, finely chopped
  • teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon pepper

Additional Toppings

  • buns
  • cucumber slices
  • tomato slices

Instructions

Feta Spinach Burgers

  • Heat outdoor grill or grill pan to medium high heat.
  • While grill is heating make the chicken burgers. Add the ground chicken, chopped spinach, feta, and seasoning to a mixing bowl. Use your hands to mix together the ingredients. Pat the meat into four patties.
  • Coat grill grates with olive oil. Place chicken burgers on hot grill. Grill for 5 minutes and use a spatula to flip. Grill for another 5-6 minutes or until meat thermometer reads 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • To assemble the burger place on buns or salad mix, top with slices of tomato and cucumber. Drizzle with Greek yogurt sauce.

Lemon Dill Sauce

  • Add Greek yogurt, chopped dill, lemon juice and lemon zest to a bowl. Mix well season with salt and pepper as needed.

Notes

The nutritional information is for the burgers and the sauce.  Any additional toppings and buns are not included. 
Always test poultry with a meat thermometer.  The recommended temperature for poultry is 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
