- 2 21 ounce cans cherry pie filling
- 1 13.25 ounces chocolate cake mix
- 10 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into 24 slices
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Get Recipe Ingredients
Preheat oven to 350℉ and spray a 9x13 inch dish with cooking spray.
Add both cans of cherry pie filling to the dish and use a spatula to spread out evenly.
Sprinkle the chocolate cake mix over the top of the pie filling.
Place the slices of butter over the top of the cake.
Place the cake in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and use a knife to even out any of the cake mix that is not coated in the melted butter. Sprinkle with a cup of chocolate chips and return to the oven.
Bake for an additional 30 minutes. Serve cake warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
