- 1 ½ tablespoons brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon ginger
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon coriander
- ⅛ cinnamon
- 6 4 ounce salmon fillet
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
Preheat broiler in oven to hottest temperature.
Line a baking tray ( not glass) with foil.
In a small bowl mix together all spices.
Rub spice mixture on top of salmon fillet coating well. Brush a light coat of olive oil on salmon or spray if you have an olive oil spray.
Place under preheated broiler element in oven. Salmon will cook quickly in about 7-8 minutes depending on thickness of fillet. Keep a close eye, spices with brown sugar should caramelize forming a nice crust.
Test salmon with a fork. When easily flaking and when no longer pink in center it is finished.
