Fresh fruit is one of my favorite things about summer. Peaches are ripe and juicy. Melons are so sweet and delicious. Honey Lime Fruit Salad is the perfect way to use summer’s bounty. This fruit salad is perfect for picnics, cook-outs and pool parties!

Fruit Salad
- 1 cup chopped strawberries
- 2 cups chopped pineapple
- 1 cup grapes
- 1 cup sliced peaches
- ½ cup honey dew
- 1 cup chopped apple
- ½ cup cantaloupe
Honey Lime Dressing
- zest of 1 lime
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon grande marnier * optional
Fruit Salad
Wash and chop all fruit into uniform bite size pieces.
Add all fruit into a large serving bowl, preferably one with a lid if taking to a party.
Honey Lime Dressing
Wash lime and zest with microplane before juicing. Zest entire lime being careful to only remove the top portion of peel and stopping when you reach the white pith part which would be bitter. Add zest to a small bowl, reserving a teaspoon to garnish on top of salad.
Juice one lime which should be about 2 tablespoons. If limes are not very juicy you may need two to get the desired amount. Add to bowl with lime zest.
Add honey and grand marnier to the lime and zest. Stir the mixture well to dissolve the honey. When ready to serve pour honey lime dressing over fruit salad. Stir gently right before serving and garnish with reserved lime zest.
