Ingredients
2poundsstrawberries
1-2tablespoons sugar
2teaspoonsvanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a rimmed baking pan with parchment paper. Do not use a cookie sheet because the juices will run off.
Wash and remove the tops of the berries. Slice in uniform size slices.
Place berries in a bowl and sprinkle with sugar and vanilla extract. Stir gently to coat all berries.
Place strawberries on the lined baking dish. Spread in a single layer.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Berries will be juicy and create their own delicious syrup.
If desired top immediately on waffles or pancakes or cool for ice cream.
Allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container like a mason jar. Strawberries will keep for 5-7 days.
