Ingredients
Chai Spice Blend
2teaspoon ginger
2teaspoon cinnamon
1teaspoon cloves
1teaspoon allspice
1teaspoon nutmeg, freshly grated
1teaspoon cardamom
Almond Milk Chai Latte
1cupwater
1bagblack tea
1teaspoon chai spice blend
1cupalmond milk, divided
2teaspoonshoney
Instructions
Chai Spice Blend
Measure all ingredients for chai spice blend and place in a small air tight container. This will make enough spice for several cups of tea. It can easily be doubled.
Almond Milk Chai Latte
Add water, tea bag, chai spice honey and ½ cup almond milk to a small sauce pan. Bring mixture to a slow simmer over medium heat.
Once mixture is warm remove from heat and allow the tea to steep for at least 5 minutes.
Remove tea bag and strain tea over strainer to remove pieces of spices.
Froth remaining almond milk with frother or shaking by hand.
Pour tea into serving mugs, top with frothed almond milk and a pinch of cinnamon.
