Blue Cheese Stuffed Dates

Blue Cheese Stuffed Dates are a quick and easy appetizer that is perfect for a wine party or holiday party.  The combination of sweet dates with the tangy blue cheese is surprisingly delicious!  This make ahead appetizer requires only four ingredients!

Ingredients

  • 12 dates, pitted
  • ½ cup crumbled blue cheese
  • cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions

  • Using a paring knife cut a small slit lengthwise across the date. Open date and remove pit. Repeat this process with all dates.
  • With your fingers add a small amount of crumbled blue cheese to the opening in date. You may need to press cheese together to get it to hold well. Arrange on serving platter. Top with chopped walnuts and gently press into cheese.
  • At this point dates can be covered and refrigerated for 2-3 days. Before serving drizzle with honey.
