Bourbon Sauce For Bread Pudding

This bourbon sauce is the perfect topping for this bread pudding. 

The ingredients:

Dry the bread in the oven or use stale bread.  

Add the bread to a casserole dish.  

Mix together the custard ingredients.  

Pour the milk mixture over the bread and stir gently to saturate all pieces of bread

Bake for 50-55 minutes.  The bread pudding will rise and be golden brown.  

While cooling prepare the bourbon sauce in a saucepan.  

Stir until mixture is bubbly and sugar is dissolved.  

Pour sauce over the top of each slice.  

This sauce is delicious and requested every Thanksgiving!
